1. About Our Service
Aurum Antiques provides a buying service for gold, silver, jewellery, watches, coins, medals, and antiques. We offer free valuations, a Royal Mail posting route, and a clear offer process for accepted items.
2. Postal Pack Service
The postal route is provided free of charge. You remain the owner of all items until you accept our offer and receive payment. Where we arrange post, we currently use Royal Mail. If you believe a parcel needs additional cover or special handling, contact us before sending it.
3. Valuations & Offers
All valuations are provided free of charge with no obligation to sell. Any estimate or initial indication given before physical inspection is non-binding and subject to change once items are received and assessed. Our offers are based on current market values and the condition of items. Offers are usually valid for 7 days from the date of communication unless we state otherwise.
4. Payment
Payments are usually made by bank transfer once you accept our offer. In most cases payment is arranged the same day during business hours, although this may depend on banking cut-off times or the circumstances of the transaction. We do not charge any fees or commission. Cash in person is only available in limited cases.
5. Returns
If you decline our offer, all items are returned to you free of charge by post. Items are returned in the same condition as received.
6. Items We Cannot Accept
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot accept stolen goods, firearms, hazardous materials, ivory, or items we believe are unlawful to trade. We also generally avoid china, porcelain, delf, and fragile crockery because they are too risky to handle by post. We reserve the right to refuse any items at our discretion.
7. Identification
If a sale takes place in person, we may ask for identification and issue a receipt.
8. Limitation of Liability
Where we arrange post, our liability for loss or damage in transit is limited to the level of cover attached to that service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We take reasonable care of items during assessment and storage.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
